That tip about "threading the needle" actually works

Had someone in this sub tell me to try threading the needle for my weekly spreads instead of making new trackers every week. I was skeptical for about 3 months until I tried it with my habit tracker last Monday. Has this method worked for anyone else or was I just late to the party?

Yeah "drew a single line down the page" is basically what I do now. I use one long column for my reading log and just tick off each day in the same strip. Took me about a week to get used to not having separate blocks but now I actually like seeing the continuous flow. It felt wrong at first like I was cheating somehow but now I can't go back.

You ever have one of those friends who swears by something for years and you just ignore them? My buddy Mike kept telling me about this for like six months. He finally did it in front of me with his water intake tracker, just drew a single line down the page and ran it across each week. I watched him fill in the same spot for three weeks straight without skipping a beat. That's when I finally tried it for my own stuff and yeah, it's way less annoying than redrawing boxes every Sunday. Did you find it weird at first too?
