Spent 2 hours trying to make a weekly spread only to realize I just needed a simpler layout all along

I was overcomplicating my bullet journal with doodles and color coding for each day but after 2 hours of frustration I switched to a plain list format and finished in 10 minutes anyone else waste time on fancy spreads?

Oh I feel this so hard. But you gotta be careful with the plain list approach too, I've found that sometimes it's too simple and I skip over stuff because nothing catches my eye. A happy medium is just using a single highlighter color for the date headers and keeping everything else clean, that way you still get a little visual pop without the whole production.
