Shoutout to the $25 stencil set I bought on a whim
It saved me so much time on my monthly cover pages. I used to freehand everything and it took forever. Anyone have other tools that cut down on setup time?

Honestly the setup time is part of the fun for me. Getting it perfect by hand feels more personal.

I get what you mean about it feeling personal, but all that time setting up just feels like a chore to me. I'd rather jump right in and start playing. Spending an hour on tiny adjustments kills the fun before I even get to the good part.

It's like that with SO many things now. People want to skip the setup and get to the payoff. Like not wanting to learn a recipe, just buying the meal kit. Or skipping the book to watch the movie summary. That hour of tinkering IS the fun part for some of us, it's where you make the thing YOURS. The rush to just consume the end result makes everything feel a bit more empty.
