Rant: That tracker setup took me 3 hours longer than it should have
I spent last Saturday trying to set up a habit tracker for water drinking and it somehow turned into a 5 hour ordeal. I kept re-drawing the grid because my ruler slipped, then I messed up the shading order twice. All I wanted was a simple 30 day tracker but I ended up scraping three pages before I got it right. Has anyone else spent way too long on what should have been a 10 minute spread?

I used to think people were overreacting when they talked about spending hours on a simple tracker. Then I tried making one myself and it took me like four hours. The thing that really got me was the shading debacle, I kept picking colors that looked good on the paper but then I'd fill in one square and realize it clashed with everything else. Ended up just using a black pen and a highlighter because I was done messing around. So yeah, I get it now. Sometimes the simplest stuff turns into a whole project for no good reason.

Oh man, that is exactly how it goes! I actually think you might be underselling the highlighter move a bit, @shah.shane, because highlighters have this weird way of bleeding through thin paper and ruining the back side of your tracker. I've learned that the hard way (trust me, on more than one occasion). But honestly, the color clash struggle is real, I spent a solid 20 minutes once trying to match a teal and a green that ended up looking like a sickly swamp together. Black pen is a solid backup though, you can't really mess that up.
