PSA: My bullet journal saved me from a huge tax headache last month

Honestly, I was about to panic because I couldn't find a receipt for a $1,200 tool purchase from March. Tbh, I remembered I'd started a 'big purchases' spread in my journal back in January, so I flipped to it and there it was, logged with the date and vendor name, 'Bob's Auto Supply'. Ngl, I used to think tracking that stuff was overkill, but now I see the point. Has anyone else had their bujo bail them out on something important like that?

Man, that's a solid win for the analog system. It's funny how writing it down makes it stick in your brain better than any app. I started a similar page for warranty stuff, because trying to find a digital receipt from two years ago is a nightmare. The physical book just cuts through all that noise.

What kind of book do you use for your warranty page? I've been thinking about setting one up but can't decide between a basic notebook or something with pockets for the actual paper receipts. It feels like a project that starts simple but then you realize you need a whole system.
