My sister saw my weekly spread and told me I was overcomplicating it
She pointed out I had 8 different color pens for categories that only had one or two items each, so now I just use black and one accent color for reminders, and my entries actually get finished instead of half-decorated.

But what if your brain works better with chaos and just needs one pen to find the flow?

8 colors does sound like a lot, but I actually need one pen per category to keep my brain from melting. I tried the black pen only thing and kept forgetting if I wrote down a grocery item or a work deadline. If your system works for you, that's what matters, don't let someone else's opinion mess with your flow.
