My pen bled through a whole month of spreads at the worst time
I was setting up my March pages at my kitchen table last Sunday, and my new brush pen just soaked right through the paper. It bled onto the next five pages, including my finished February tracker. I grabbed a piece of scrap paper, cut it to size, and glued it over the worst spot to make a patch. It looks a bit messy, but it saved the book. Has anyone else had a pen disaster and found a good way to fix it?

My old art teacher swore by using a tiny bit of white acrylic paint to cover ink bleeds. I used to think that would look way worse than just leaving it, but I tried it on a ruined weekly spread last year and you honestly can't tell. It dries flat and you can even write over it if you're careful. That patch idea is smart though, I might try that next time my pens act up.

That sounds like a lot of work for a bleed, @grantchen.

Oh, that's brutal. My friend had a fountain pen leak in her bag and ruin a whole project notebook. She ended up carefully cutting out the ruined pages and binding in new ones with some strong tape, which actually worked pretty well. Sometimes you just have to get creative with the save.
