My monthly spread finally clicked after 4 tries

I spent 3 hours Sunday setting up June's layout with just a ruler and a black pen, no washi tape or stickers, and for once I actually know where my bills and oil change are without flipping 5 pages, so how do you guys keep your weekly logs from turning into a mess by Friday?

Honestly I used to roll my eyes at minimalist spreads, like why bother when stickers make it fun, but your ruler and black pen thing kinda just changed my mind. I tried it this week for my work tasks and errands and the lack of chaos is wild, I can actually see Monday through Friday without my eyes bouncing around. The trick for me was keeping each day to one line plus a tiny checkbox for the one thing I absolutely cannot forget, like picking up my meds or calling the vet. By Friday it still looks clean because I force myself to cross off or rewrite anything unfinished on Sunday, no guilt, just a fresh box. So yeah, I get the appeal now, simple really does win sometimes.
