My habit tracker went from 15 days clean to 3 blanks in a row, here's what broke it

I added a simple "sleep by 11pm" box to my June spread and the first two weeks were perfect, but then I started dreading opening the journal because every blank felt like a failure, so I swapped it to a "what time did I actually sleep" log and now I fill it every night, has anyone else had a tracker that backfired like that?

honestly i think switching it made it easier for you to avoid the real problem. the blank boxes werent the issue, the habit was. you were 15 days in and then something knocked you off track, and instead of pushing through the rough patch you redesigned the system so it would never show a miss again. thats like a scale that only tells you your weight when you lose. the time log is just you collecting excuses, not building discipline. keep the original box next month and stare at those blanks until they piss you off enough to fix your sleep.

Trackers are weird like that. The second you make something mandatory, it turns into a chore. Same thing happened to me with a water intake box, had to switch it to just a tally mark. Blank spaces feel louder than filled ones, for sure. Good call on the time log, that's just data instead of a verdict on your whole day.
