My entire monthly spread bled through the page last Tuesday

I was trying out a new black gel pen for my April setup, and the ink just soaked right through the paper. This happened on a Tuesday afternoon, around 3 PM, while I was setting up my habit tracker. The pen was a Uni-ball Signo, and it ruined the next three pages in my Leuchtturm. I had to carefully cut out the bad pages with a craft knife, which took about an hour. Has anyone found a notebook that really holds up to wet ink without needing a whole blotter sheet?

Tbh the craft knife approach sounds risky, I'd be scared of slicing through something important." Try using a piece of wax paper between the pages when you're using wet ink pens, it stops the bleeding without needing to cut anything out.

Cutting out pages with a craft knife sounds like a nightmare. I've had good luck with the thicker paper in the Scribbles That Matter notebooks. Their 160 gsm paper doesn't let my fountain pen ink show through at all. It's a bit pricier but saves the headache.

Ever try a notebook with perforated pages to avoid the cutting mess?
