My bullet journal bled through the page after I tried a new pen

I bought a pack of those cheap gel pens from the dollar store last week, the ones that write super smooth. I used one to color in a small tracker box on my Leuchtturm1917 journal. The next morning, the ink had soaked through to the next three pages, making a big dark spot. I learned that not all pens are safe for thin paper, even if they feel nice. Has anyone found a good gel pen that doesn't bleed on 80gsm paper?

My Leuchtturm looked like a Rorschach test after I tried a new pen last year. Honestly, I had to skip like five pages because the ghosting was so bad. Tbh, I just stick to basic ballpoints for my bujo now, the fancy ones are never worth the risk.

Oh I saw a blog post about that exact thing, @grace_bailey34! They tested a bunch of pens on Leuchtturm paper and found that certain gel inks just soak right through. The writer said fine tip ballpoints or specific quick-dry fountain pen inks were the only safe bets for no ghosting.
