Just realized my habit tracker actually worked after 4 months
I started tracking water intake in my bullet journal back in September, just to see if I'd notice a difference. Last week I looked back and saw I went from averaging 3 glasses a day to almost 6. I learned that just seeing those little empty boxes made me want to fill them, no fancy motivation needed. Has anyone else had a simple tracker surprise them like that?

Oh please, tracking water intake is just another way to trick yourself into thinking you're being productive when you're really just coloring in boxes. I stopped doing that stuff years ago because I realized I was spending more time making pretty charts than actually drinking water, and it just stressed me out more. Plus those little victories people get from trackers usually fade once you miss a few days and the whole chain breaks, then you feel even worse than before.

Actually read something interesting the other day about this. Some researchers found that people who track their water usually end up drinking more overall even if they skip days here and there. The key is that it's not about being perfect but just having that little reminder in the back of your head. I tried the whole bullet journal thing for water and yeah that was too much work lol. Now I just use a plain glass with a rough mark on it and count to four by the end of the day. Its way simpler and I don't stress when I forget to fill in some fancy chart.
