I finally figured out why my weekly spreads kept looking weird
Kept seeing people draw their lines with a regular ballpoint pen. The ink bleeds through the paper, especially on my 160gsm notebook. Makes the next page look messy. What pen do you actually use for layouts?

Yeah that "adds character" line from the_andrew is a perfect example of people calling a problem a feature. I see this everywhere now, where a clear flaw gets rebranded as some deep artistic choice. Just get a fine liner, they don't bleed.
