Hot take: I ditched my fancy weekly spread for a bare bones daily log
I used to spend 2 hours every Sunday drawing out these elaborate weekly layouts with washi tape borders and color coded sections. Six months ago I just snapped and started using a plain daily log with just dates and bullets. Honestly, the change came after I realized I was spending more time decorating than actually writing down tasks. I got more done in one week with a simple spread than I did in a month with the fancy one. Has anyone else found that less setup actually helps you track better?

Oh man, this is exactly where I landed after years of that stuff. The ironic part is that all that setup time was actually my brain's way of procrastinating on the real work I needed to do. Like once the page was pretty, I felt I'd already accomplished something. But a blank daily log forces you to actually engage with what needs doing instead of just playing arts and crafts.

The trick is keeping a pen in hand at all times. Once the barrier to entry is that low, the system practically runs itself.
