Debate: Is it okay to skip a day in your bullet journal or does that break the whole system?

So I've been keeping a bujo for about 6 months now. Last Tuesday I just completely forgot to open it. Had a crazy day at work with a deadline from my boss at 4pm and then my car battery died in the parking lot. I missed logging anything for that whole day. Now I'm torn - do I go back and fill in Tuesday with some quick notes or do I just pretend it didnt happen and move on to Wednesday? My friend says skipping breaks the habit and ruins the point. I say life happens and who cares. Whats everyone else do when you miss a whole day?

Bought myself a nice leather bound journal once, the expensive kind with the fancy paper. Spent two hours setting up a beautiful weekly spread with colored pens and everything. Then I went to the beach the next weekend and left the whole thing in my trunk in August heat. The spine split, the pages got wavy, and the cover developed a weird sticky residue. I still use it but now it looks like a crime scene diary. You can fill in Tuesday with a single line that says "car died, boss mad, life sucks" and move on. The whole point of a bujo is that it works for you, not the other way around. Your friend probably also organizes their sock drawer by color.

OMG wait, the SOCK DRAWER BY COLOR thing got me! Do people actually do that?? That's like next level organization that just screams "I'm fun at parties but also lowkey terrifying." But seriously though, your journal story had me cackling. The sticky residue detail is sending me because I can just picture that mess. That's the kind of chaos that makes a journal actually feel lived in, you know? Like yeah it looks rough but now it has CHARACTER, not just a bunch of perfect spreads nobody touches.
