Cat knocked my coffee all over my October spread at a coffee shop in Nashville

I was sitting at this little place called Frothy Monkey in Nashville last Tuesday, working on my October habit tracker. I had it all laid out nice with these little fall leaf doodles and color coded sections for water intake and reading. Then this tabby cat from the shop just walks right across my table and knocks my entire latte directly onto the page. The ink bled everywhere, the paper wrinkled up like a raisin, and I just sat there staring at this brown mess where my perfect spread used to be. The barista came over and felt so bad she gave me a free pastry, which was nice. I ended up just taking the ruined page and turning it into a collage with some receipt paper and a leaf I found outside. Has anyone else had a pet or animal completely destroy a spread mid planning?

A cat just strolled across your table and dumped a latte on your work? That is genuinely insane. I would have been too stunned to even react, just watching the ink bleed out in slow motion. The fact that the shop cat is just allowed to roam and climb on tables like that is wild to me. I get that it's a coffee shop gimmick but that's a disaster waiting to happen for anyone with papers or laptops. At least you turned it into a collage and got a free pastry out of it though. Still, I would be so rattled if that happened to me.
