Pro tip: that $50/month meal kit subscription actually saved me $200 on groceries after I switched from delivery to pickup

I signed up for EveryPlate thinking it'd be a waste, but after three weeks of pickup instead of delivery, my random grocery runs stopped and my pantry finally stopped rotting out every month, has anyone else tried switching to pickup to save more?

Switching to pickup cut my food waste by like 80% honestly. I'd always grab random stuff at the store that looked good but never cooked, then it'd rot. With pickup I actually stick to my list and the meal kits force me to use what I got. Plus no impulse buys at checkout. Your mileage may vary but it's been a game changer for my wallet and my fridge.

Ngl you're spot on with the impulse buys thing. I used to walk out of Target with like three bags of chips and a random flavored olive oil I never touched. Now I just roll up, grab my bags, and leave. The meal kits are clutch too. I had a box of orzo sitting in my pantry for six months before I finally used it in a pickup meal kit recipe. Honestly it's wild how much less I toss out now.
