Pro tip: shifting my grocery day to Tuesday saved me $40 a month
I used to do my big grocery run every Saturday morning at the Kroger on Elm Street. Last month I switched to Tuesday evenings because I read somewhere that stores mark down meats early in the week. My first trip on a Tuesday I found ground beef marked down 30% because it was near the sell-by date. I froze three packs and used them over the next two weeks. Now I plan my meals around whatever protein is discounted that day. Has anyone else found a specific day or time that works better for their budget?
