My car needed new tires and I chose the cheaper ones with a longer warranty

My old sedan needed all four tires replaced, and the shop gave me two quotes. The first was for a well known brand at $750, and the second was for a store brand at $550 with a 70,000 mile warranty, which was 20,000 miles longer. I was really nervous about picking the cheaper option, but I went for it to save the $200 upfront. I've put about 5,000 miles on them since March, and they've been totally fine on my daily drive to work, even in the rain. The peace of mind from that longer warranty actually feels better than the brand name. It made me realize sometimes the budget choice is the smarter play if you look past the label. Has anyone else had a good experience with off brand car parts they were unsure about?

That warranty is for tread wear, not a defect replacement.

So they'll only replace it if I wear it out perfectly?
