Found a way to cut my grocery bill by 30% using just a weekly meal grid
I was spending like $120 a week on groceries for just me and my dog, and it was killing my budget. Then I tried this thing where I draw out a simple 7-day grid and plan every meal around what's on sale at my local Aldi. I literally check their flyer online Sunday night, then build meals around the protein and veggie deals. Last week I got chicken thighs for $1.29 a pound and made three different meals from one pack. It took maybe 20 minutes total and saved me $38 that week alone. Has anyone else tried a sale-based meal plan or do you just wing it like I used to?

Oh the "random stuff I don't need" part is so true... I used to grab snacks and drinks just because they looked good in the aisle, but having a plan based on the flyer keeps me totally focused.

Read an article from Consumer Reports that said planning around sales can knock off up to 25% on average for most households. Your chicken thigh deal is a great example of that in action. I started doing something similar with the Stop & Shop flyer and found it stops me from buying random stuff I don't need.
