Unpopular opinion: sleeping in the airport beat paying $85 for a 4 hour motel near O'Hare
Missed my connection in Chicago back in January and the cheap motels by the airport wanted $85 for a few hours of sleep, so I claimed a quiet gate and used my jacket as a pillow instead. Has anyone else just given up on airport hotels, and where's your go to spot to crash for free?

That motel price is nuts for four hours. I've done the same thing at Midway, just found a gate with nobody around and passed out. Airport floors beat throwing money away on a bed you barely use.
