Lost $60 on a train pass I never used in Prague
I bought a 3-day public transport pass for Prague thinking I'd ride the metro everywhere. Turns out the city is super walkable and I ended up hoofing it to every spot. Didn't even validate the thing after day one. Anyone else waste money on transit passes they didn't need?

Wait were you not checking the ticket validation machines before you got on? Ive made this mistake before in other cities where I bought a pass and just assumed it was good to go but turns out you gotta stamp it. Is it really wasted if you ended up walking everywhere and saving money on taxis or Ubers though? I mean 60 bucks for a backup plan that you didnt use might sting but at least you werent stuck buying single ride tickets when your feet gave out. How many days were you actually there total?

Gotta say, $60 doesn't sound like the end of the world to me. I've wasted way more on stuff I didn't need, like a gym membership I used exactly twice. The city being walkable is a good problem to have, it means you got some free exercise and fresh air instead of being stuck underground. And honestly, if you didn't validate it after day one, that's on you for not checking the rules. It's $60, not a broken leg. Just move on, learn the lesson, and don't overthink it.
