Daylight saving time ate my bus pass in Baltimore, 2 hours to fix it

I booked a FlixBus leaving Baltimore at 6 AM but the app showed 7 AM after the clock change. I showed up an hour early, sat in the cold, and missed the actually correct bus. The driver said 'check your timezone settings' like it was obvious, but my phone was set to auto. Support took 45 minutes to reschedule me, and I lost a full day of sightseeing. Is it worth trusting third party apps with timezone math, or should I just stick to Amtrak? Has anyone else gotten burned by this?

My buddy had basically the same thing happen with Greyhound in Chicago back in March. He waited at the wrong stop for 40 minutes before someone told him the schedule shifted with the clock change. Now he just adds extra time to every trip like it's a game or something.
