Switched from pre-shredded cheese to block cheese for tacos
I used to buy those pre-shredded bags for $3.50 at WinCo, but my tacos always turned out greasy. Tried grating a block of cheddar myself for $2.80 last Saturday and the texture was way better, plus it melted proper. Anyone else notice the difference with shredded vs block?

Man, I used to swear by the pre-shredded stuff just for convenience. But then I actually tried grating a block of Tillamook for some nachos and it melted so much better, no weird powdery coating. Now I'm fully converted, block cheese is the way to go for tacos or anything melted, right?
