Serious question, does anyone else think the $1.50 frozen burrito beats all your fancy meal prep?
Six months ago I decided to track every dollar I spent on lunch, and the number that came back was $214 a month. Most of that was the "healthy" stuff I was prepping on Sundays, the chicken, the quinoa, the little containers. Then my Kroger started selling 10 frozen bean and cheese burritos for $4.99 and I did the math, that's 50 cents a burrito. I ate those for a month straight with hot sauce and never felt worse than when I was eating my meal prep. Meanwhile my co-worker keeps telling me I'm going to get scurvy or whatever. I still throw an apple in the bag so I'm not a total cave man. Has anyone else just admitted the cheap frozen stuff works fine, or am I fooling myself here?
