PSA: Don't fall for the "pre-chopped veggie" trap like I did
I spent an extra $12 last week on a bag of pre-chopped onions and bell peppers thinking it'd save me time. Got home, opened it up, and half the pieces were slimy and gross. Had to throw most of it out and ended up chopping my own anyways. $12 down the drain lol. Anyone else get burned by convenience foods that just aren't worth it?

No way, they actually charged you twelve bucks for a bag of slimy onions? That's criminal. I get that pre-cut stuff is supposed to be a time saver, but paying that much for garbage feels like a total scam.

Twelve bucks for slimy onions? That's just insulting, @finleythomas. And the thing is, even the fresh whole onions aren't that pricey so you're basically paying extra for disappointment (and maybe some bacteria). I get wanting convenience but that's like paying for a fast pass to a food poisoning ride. Hope you got your money back at least, because that's just robbery with extra steps.
