My roommate called me out for spending $12 on a jar of fancy tomato sauce
She said I could make the same thing with canned tomatoes and garlic for under $2 and honestly after trying her version last night she was totally right, so has anyone else found a store-bought staple that’s actually not worth the money?

My grandma used to say that if you put a spoon in the fridge overnight it'd keep the milk from going sour... never once worked but she swore by it. Same energy as people insisting you have to let your car warm up for ten minutes in the summer. Just stuff people get stuck on with no real proof.
