My rice cooker died Tuesday, now I'm a pot-and-pan convert

The $15 cooker from 2019 finally gave out mid-rice, so I made the batch on the stovetop with a 2:1 water ratio. Honestly came out fluffier and the cleanup was easier, has anyone else ditched their appliance after a failure?

Wait till you forget about it on the stove and come back to burnt rice stuck to the bottom... then tell me cleanup's easier.
