Ugh, I tried that last week and my "scrap stir-fry" was just sad onion ends and limp broccoli stems. Looked like a bowl of regret. Tasted like it too.

Try adding a splash of vinegar or lime juice to brighten up those limp veggies.

Oh come on, that's just giving up! @the_alice is totally right about the acid trick... you gotta commit to it. A tiny splash does nothing, you need a real squeeze of lime or a good pour of vinegar to wake everything up. Those sad onion ends just needed more time in the pan with some actual flavor. My stir fry scraps turn out fine, you just can't be shy with the seasoning.
