I switched from buying pre-made sauce to making my own and it cut my grocery bill by almost half
For years I was dropping like $4-5 a jar on pasta sauce from the store, sometimes buying 3-4 jars a month. Then about 6 months ago I tried making my own with a can of crushed tomatoes ($1.50), some garlic, and dried herbs I already had. It tastes way better and I've been saving around $12 a month on just sauce alone. Anyone else find a specific store-bought item they swapped out that made a big dent in their budget?
