The foam sword tip from a kid at the Sacramento library comic swap fixed my whole build
I was at the comic swap at the Sacramento library about 4 months ago with a cardboard sword that looked awful. This 12 year old kid in a homemade Jedi robe walked up and said my edges were too sharp. He pulled a pool noodle out of his mom's tote bag and showed me how to cut it into strips and tape it over the cardboard. Cost him maybe $1.50 for the noodle at a dollar store. Twenty minutes later my sword looked way better and it was safe to swing around. I've used that trick on 3 costumes since then. Does anyone else get their best build tips from kids at events?
