Six months ago my Todoroki jacket was a wrinkled mess of hot glue and bad seams

I redid the whole thing with fabric glue and iron-on patches instead, spent about $12 total at the thrift store. Finally wore it to a con last weekend and three strangers asked where I bought it. Anyone else have a cosplay that took multiple tries before you got it right?

The thrift store approach is the real pro move honestly, nothing beats that initial ugly version for building character lol.

Building character" is a generous way to describe a jacket held together by hope and good intentions. I'm still not convinced my first attempt wasn't just a crime scene with sleeves.
