I finally found my old Halloween costume parts at Goodwill
Last weekend I stopped by the Goodwill on 4th Ave looking for a button-up shirt and spotted a bin of old costume pieces, including a wrinkled velvet cape for $6 that I knew right away could become the base of a vampire lord look. The cashier told me, "People donate these every fall, but nobody ever grabs them before the holiday season," and that made me realize I've been skipping this section entirely for years while blowing $40 on new fabric. Has anyone else scored a whole costume foundation just from digging through the seasonal junk bin, or am I late to this game?
