Why does nobody talk about how Robinhood's interface trains you to overtrade?

Honestly, it took me 6 months of using Robinhood in Austin before I realized their whole layout is designed to make you click 'buy' or 'sell' constantly. I thought I was being smart with day trades but I was down $400 in fees alone by month 4. What tipped me off was when I switched to Fidelity for a month and suddenly I was only making 3 trades a week instead of 15. Has anyone else noticed how the app layout practically begs you to keep flipping positions?

The part about the interface "practically begs you to keep flipping positions" really hit home for me because I watched my nephew fall into the same trap last year. He thought he was being active and smart but the app just kept showing him flashy green and red numbers that made him feel like he had to act right away. Have you talked to anyone who tried using a different broker's mobile app for a month and saw their trade count drop the same way you did?

Pulled my buddy Jake aside at a barbecue last summer because he was literally refreshing his Robinhood app while holding a burger. He swore up and down he was being disciplined but I watched him dump a solid position after a 2% dip because the red numbers were flashing. I basically dared him to try using Fidelity's app for a month since it's way more boring and clunky by design. He texted me three weeks later saying his trade count dropped from like 40 a week to 5, and he actually kept more of his gains. The guy was shook, said the ugly interface basically forced him to think before touching anything.
