Unpopular opinion: most people grade a broker on spreads when they should grade them on hold times
I called my broker at 9:15am on a Tuesday during a rate spike and sat on hold for 22 minutes while the spread kept moving against me. When I finally got a human, she fixed my order in under a minute, so the spread number on their site was never my real problem. Anyone else track how long you actually wait to reach a live person, or am I the only one keeping a spreadsheet on this?
Read a thread on r/forex where a guy timed his holds for a month and averaged 18 minutes. Made me realize the spread on the site means nothing if you can't get a person when it counts.
