Realized I'd been reading margin callouts wrong for 6 months after a random trader at a coffee shop in Chicago pointed it out

He saw my trades on my laptop and asked why I was setting stop losses above resistance instead of below support, and that five second conversation saved me from blowing up another account - has anyone else had a stranger just walk up and fix a blind spot you didn't even know you had?

Coffee shop traders are the undisputed experts, right up there with the guy in my building who told me I was hedging with the wrong expiration. Now anytime a stranger at Starbucks stares at my screen I just assume I'm about to learn something humiliating about my strategy.
