Realized after 4 months I was leaning too hard on one broker's reviews
I kept wondering why my trades were going sideways despite picking top-rated brokers from reviews on one site. Then I saw a post comparing spreads on the same broker across different platforms and it hit me - I was just reading the same handful of shills and not cross-referencing with actual trade data. Has anyone else caught themselves trusting a single review source way too long?

Yeah that's a trap we all fall into in different parts of life. It's like trusting only Yelp reviews for a restaurant without checking Google or talking to someone who actually ate there. I caught myself doing the same thing with lawn care products once just because one blog kept showing up first in search results. Turned out half their recommendations were sponsored garbage that killed my grass. Always gotta peek behind the curtain a little bit.

Wait hold up @kaimiller, you're telling me a blog literally killed your grass? That's wild lmao. I would have been so pissed if I followed some sponsored advice and ended up with a dead lawn. It's crazy how many of those top search results are just paid ads pretending to be honest reviews. I've seen it with car stuff too, like someone recommending a "best" oil filter that was literally the cheapest one on Amazon with the most fake reviews. You really gotta cross reference everything these days or you're just gambling with your money and your yard apparently.
