Picked a discount broker over a full-service one, 6 years later I'm still happy

Anybody else feel like broker reviews from 5 years ago are basically useless now? I was digging through old threads about margin rates and execution speed, but every firm I checked has changed their fee schedule twice since then. My own review from 2021 about a certain platform is totally outdated because they overhauled their app and added crypto trading. I gave up comparing old posts and just opened a demo account to test things myself. How do you all figure out which reviews still hold up in this fast-moving market?
