Looking at broker fee disclosures and the 'execution quality' stats caught me off guard

I was digging through the annual reports my broker has to file, and saw that for some of my limit orders, the fill price was actually better than what I asked for. It happened on about 15% of my trades last quarter, which I never would have noticed. Has anyone else checked their own broker's execution quality report and been surprised?

Yeah, I started checking those reports after a friend pointed it out... it's wild how much you can miss. I just set a calendar reminder to look at mine every quarter now, so it doesn't slip by. Makes you pay a lot more attention to where you place those limits.

Checked mine last year and got a shock too, but it was the opposite. My limit orders got filled at worse prices about 5% of the time, which adds up. The reports are a pain to read but worth it.

My fidelity report last year showed the same 5% issue.
