Honestly thought interactive brokers was just for pros until my buddy walked me through it

Tbh I always figured the platform was too complex for regular folks like me. My buddy Joe who trades options showed me their mobile app last Tuesday and I was surprised how clean the interface is. I opened a small account with $500 just to test ETF trades and the fills were instant. Has anyone else found the default settings overwhelming or is it just me?

Wait, did you say you opened an account with just $500? I thought Interactive Brokers had a minimum deposit of like a thousand bucks or something. Or did they change that recently?
