A client told me my trade reports were too robotic and it fixed my review game
I was sending out these dry, fact-only summaries after every trade. Last month a guy wrote back and said he felt like he was reading a spreadsheet, not a broker update. So I started adding a quick sentence on why I made each move, like market conditions or a pattern I spotted. Now I get way more questions and repeat clients.

Oh man I used to be ALL about the raw data in my updates. Thought clients just wanted the cold hard numbers. But honestly this post kinda changed my mind. I tried adding a line like "saw resistance at this level so I bailed early" or "volume looked off so I sat it out" and suddenly people started writing back with follow ups. Now I even throw in a quick "I was wrong about this one because I missed X" and clients actually say they trust me MORE for it. Makes them feel like they're in the loop instead of just getting robot worksheets from me.

Right? I used to write updates like a spreadsheet had a baby with a dictionary. I remember sending one where I literally just listed "bought at X, sold at Y" and then wondered why my client ghosted me for a week. Now I'm over here going "yeah so I bought this one because I thought it was a good idea but then I realized I actually just wanted to buy something so I sold it at a loss real quick like an idiot." Clients eat it up. They're probably just happy I'm not a robot anymore.
