Went from 14 courses a day to 9 after switching to a bigger trowel

Swapped my 10 inch for a 14 inch on a big commercial job near Columbus, figured I'd lay more brick faster. Turns out the extra mortar weight wore my wrist out by noon, and the crew lead asked if I was on a coffee break marathon. Anyone else find bigger tools actually slow them down on long walls?
