What if @simonmorgan is right and we NEED to factor in MONTHS for custom parts from the start?

Why do special orders always seem to take forever? I used to blame bad planning for those kinds of delays. But hearing about your arched bricks made me see it differently. Some items just aren't sitting in a warehouse ready to go. They have to be made from scratch, and that adds weeks easy. It's crazy how one small thing can stop a whole project in its tracks. Now I get why people get so worked up over waiting for parts.
