Showerthought: after 11 years I finally stopped wetting my brick before laying it in cold weather
Watched a guy in Rochester last November tap his brick with a hammer and it rang like a bell while mine just sucked the water right out of the mortar. Turns out soaking them in the summer heat is fine but below 40 degrees it just freezes the joint from the inside, anyone else get burned by this one?
