Scaffold boards are all different sizes, found out the hard way
Been laying brick for 8 years and just learned that scaffold boards can vary by like 3/4 of an inch depending on the supplier, found that out last week when my wall came out a half inch off at the corner. Anyone else deal with mismatched staging screwing up their line level?

Honestly I thought I was losing my mind last month when my brick line sagged at one end and I couldnt figure out why. Turns out the scaffold planks I grabbed from the pile were two different thicknesses, so my level sat crooked and threw everything off by half a brick joint. Now I just eyeball every board before I climb up there, like I'm buying produce or something. Really makes you trust the whole setup less when your straightedge is lying to you. Ngl I half expect the ladder to be a different length next time I set it up.
