Oh man @wilson.jesse, I feel you on that one. I was helping my cousin lay a patio last summer and he told me I was "overbuttering" every single brick, took me three tries to get it right. There's actually a trick to it - you gotta put a little extra on the ends so they squeeze out just right when you tap them down.
