Found out the Empire State Building used 10 million bricks
I was watching some old documentary with my kid last night and they just dropped that number. I had to pause it and do the math in my head, that's a crazy amount of work. Can't even imagine laying that many, my arms hurt just thinking about it. Anyone know any other big buildings with wild brick counts like that?

Check the Great Wall of China. Not a building, but the brick and stone count is off the charts. Some sections used way more than that. Makes you wonder about the total for the whole thing.

But @murray.betty, isn't it mostly dirt and rubble now? Counting every stone ever used seems impossible.

Yeah, but I bet someone's cousin got paid to count each brick (and is still counting).
