Am I the only one who was laying soldier courses with the wrong mortar consistency for like a decade?

I was on a repointing job in an old Charleston row house last week and the foreman pointed out that my mix was too wet, which is why my vertical joints kept slumping out before I could tool them properly.

$3.47? That's what I paid for a gallon of milk yesterday and it made me double take. You're telling me we've all been there, man? Because I don't think we've all been okay with paying that much for something that used to be $2. I've seen people lose their minds over less.

Yeah but where exactly is "there" for you? Like what's the specific situation that made you post this?
