TIL at a botanical garden tour that my watering schedule was killing my peace lily
I was at the Denver Botanic Gardens last weekend and the guide mentioned overwatering is the #1 houseplant killer, and it hit me that I've been drowning my poor peace lily for 2 years straight, so now I only water when the soil is bone dry, has anyone else had a plant rebound after changing habits like that?

Gotta say, even bone dry might be pushing it a bit for peace lilies. They actually like to stay slightly moist, not completely dry out. When you let them get totally bone dry, the leaves will droop and look dead, then bounce back after a soak, but that constant stress cycle can mess with their growth over time. Try sticking your finger in the soil about an inch deep. If it feels damp still, leave it alone. If it's barely moist, that's a better time to water than waiting for it to be absolutely crisp dry.

Gotta agree with @ivan522 here, letting them get bone dry just stresses the plant out for no good reason.
