Thought I was watering my fiddle leaf right for a year, then a guy at a plant swap in Austin asked one question
I water my fiddle leaf every Sunday, about a cup, and I thought I had it dialed in. At a plant swap in Austin a guy poked the soil, pulled back a finger that was bone dry two inches down, and said "you're giving it sips, not soaks." Turns out a cup only wet the top inch and the roots below were shriveled the whole time. Now I drench the pot until it runs out the bottom and wait until the top two inches are dry before I touch it again, and there are three new leaves coming in. How much do you actually pour when you water, and do you always wait for it to drain out?
